  Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School (ABVM School) exists to foster a community of faith and academic excellence by promoting Jesus’ teachings, celebrating individual student strengths, and supporting individual student needs while providing students with the skills necessary to make responsible and respectful choices based on their Catholic faith.
  
  Our Beliefs:
  
  We believe that ABVM School exists to foster and promote the catechetical mission of the Catholic Church.

  • We believe that Jesus is central to all aspects of learning.
  • We believe that educating the whole child is essential in developing a well-rounded individual.
  • We believe that ABVM School strives to create a cooperative and respectful environment where students can prosper and flourish as they learn.
  • We believe that students learn to be responsible and caring citizens by giving service to others.
  • We believe that education is a cooperative effort between the school and the family.
  • We believe that students need to come to know Jesus, love Jesus, and serve Jesus through their words, actions, and deeds.

  Spiritually:

  1. Continue celebrating the Eucharist and become active members of their parishes, leaders of the church, and participants in fellowship.
  2. Commit to living their faith through their actions and interactions in everyday life.
  3. To be active members of the Church community through Mass and other parish activities.
  4. Continue to follow the Christ-like morality and values modeled and taught.
  5. Live in their faith and show kindness and love to others.
  6. Be comfortable in their relationship with God.
  7. Share their relationship with God with others to deepen the Catholic community.
  8. Continue to grow in faith by attending Mass and promoting the Catholic faith proudly. 
  9. Continue their involvement with religious activities in high school regardless of what school they attend.

  
  Academically:

  1. Be successful in the high school of their choice and beyond.
  2. Set short-term and long-term goals for academic success.
  3. Become independent and responsible members of society.
  4. Use the tools provided at ABVM School as a guide to handle the demands of a high school curriculum.
  5. Become a well-rounded student.

  9. Work well in groups and share and welcome ideas.
  10. Implement ideas (versus simply develop) through project planning.
